India has been blessed with an abundance of natural beauty and it would be thoughtless if we didn’t speak about its waterfalls! Be it sunny or gloomy, you could always enjoy a waterfall as it comes with its own stillness. Himachal Pradesh is home to snowcapped peaks and is India’s very own adventure park. Surrounded by the mighty Himalayas, Himachal Pradesh has attracted travellers, honeymooners, and backpackers from every corner of the world. Let’s talk about Himachal Pradesh and its beautiful waterfalls!

1. Bhagsunag Falls, Macleodganj, Dharamshala.

Affectionately called Bhagsu Falls, it is located 2 kilometers away from the main market area of the Bhagsunag village, Macleodganj. If you are travelling from Dharamshala, the waterfall is at a distance of 3 kilometers et voila you have arrived at the very scenic Bhagsunag Falls.

2. Jogini Falls, Manali.

This beautiful waterfall lies only 3 km away from the famous Vashisht temple near Manali. On the outskirts of the temple, a small stream jets off from a cliff and forms this amazing waterfall. Jogini waterfalls in Manali is at the northern boundary of Vashisht village which jumps from a height of 150 ft with loud gushing noise and has created a pool of water at its base. The stream then flows down to the famous Kullu Valley.

3. Jana Falls, Manali.

You can visit Jana Waterfall on your way to the Bijli temple. The waterfall is at a distance of 11.5 km from the Naggar Castle. You have to follow a small narrow forest route on your way to Jana Waterfall. Surrounded by beautiful pine trees on your way, the meandering hilly route will make you feel relaxed. The name of the waterfall comes from the name of the village. It is surrounded by apple orchards, pine trees, and snow-clad mountain peaks. It is a typical waterfall where the water comes out unprecedentedly amidst chunk of rocks which will awaken that child like glee.

4. Rudranag Falls, Kheerganga.

In the abode of Himachal Pradesh, lies a beautiful place called Kheerganga positioned at 3500 meters, where it is believed, Lord Shiva meditated for thousands of years. The lush greenery of the mountains, the elegant River Parvati and picturesque skies are undoubtedly a much-awaited delight to a trekker’s soul. Enjoy the chilly morning breeze and have a dip in the hot water springs. Situated 22 km away from Manikaran, Kheerganga is popular for its hot water springs even during heavy snowfall and bathing in it is an experience you do not want to miss.

5. Chadwick Falls, Shimla.

A perfect summer getaway. If you seek adventure, Chadwick Falls in Shimla is an ultimate destination for you. The serenity, dense forests and tranquil atmosphere surrounding the area of the waterfall gives you enough reason to visit this attraction time and again. Chadwick Falls has always been a delightful experience for tourists. It offers a great hiking trail that lets you explore its quietness, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. 6. Kaksen and Bhagsen, Bharmour.

Kaksen and Bhagsen Waterfall is a peaceful escape near Bharmour and is a perfect spot for those who love to catch the beauty of nature through their camera lens. Located nearly 17 km from Bharmour, the impeccable beauty of Kaksen and Bhagsen Waterfall will surely delight you. There are numerous mythological stories related to this site and locals believe that Bhagsen Falls represent the sins whereas Kaksen portrays the virtue of human life.

7. Hadsar Falls, Chamba.

Hadsar is a small town that is known as the base camp of the famous Manimahesh Yatra. Located in Chamba, it is home to the gorgeous Hadsar Waterfalls that is a major highlight of the place and attracts a large tourist influx. Boasting of enchanting natural beauty and sprawling pastures of alpine woods, the waterfall is a popular picnic spot and can be reached through a short trek.

8. Rozy Falls, Rohtang.

A visit to Rozy Falls gives you the opportunity to spend moments of repose in Mother Nature’s lap. The forested mountains and vast green valleys encircling the waterfall form a truly sensational backdrop. The awesome sight of white waters disgorging from a towering height will guarantee to create precious and unforgettable moments. 9. Tala Watefalls, Bharmour.

Tala Falls is known for its enchanting atmosphere and is located 9 km from Bharmour. It is easily accessible via taxi and being one of those waterfalls in Himachal Pradesh, this place is often visited by peace seekers in the surrounding area. Unlike other waterfalls known for their exquisite beauty during the monsoon, the Tala Falls is a place that can be visited throughout the year, as there is always enough water to fall in love with this beautiful place.

10. Satdhara Falls, Dalhousie.

The Satdhara waterfall is located in the Chamba valley and derives its name from the seven waterfalls. The waterfall merges into the water of seven delightful springs. The area is home to many cedar trees, and you can feel the bloom in the air, capturing the beauty of this tranquil place in your memory forever.
